We do advocate the importance of a domain name and agree that, unless you have a well-known brand name, something industry specific helps your internet presence on lots of levels (we’ll go in to detail on this in a dedicated post). And we all know sex sells, but $13 million!!!
There is no way a domain name can warrant that sort of money. From an SEO point of view we could get the Church of England on the front page for ‘sex’ at a fraction of the cost. There is a certain kudos involved with domain names, but this is a lot of cash to recoup.
The keyword ‘sex’ is allegedly searched for on Google approx 5 Million times a day. Is that enough to make a return on this? Getting on the front page of Google’s results would help.
