Websites told to ensure cookies comply with UK law

Well almost…

The ICO have said this is a “work in progress” and “It is not offering all the answers”. So what are all the answers?

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport have already told us they will not be ready until after 26 May when this new legislation comes into force.

The ICO say this article is “aimed at those organisations which are starting to think about how they will comply with the new rules.”. If we knew what the rules were we might be in with a chance. What’s the point of releasing a “starting point for getting compliant” when nobody knows what we have to do to become compliant.

Unenforceable, unworkable and so far unexplainable…
